My old turtle buddy ready for a snake dinner.

I forgot I had this shot of him. This is only a small snake 12-16 inches.
I have seen him gulp down a three foot long Water Moccasin.
As I write this,I have a nice piece of Hog-Jowl thawing. It is for when he gives me that look that I know means "What do you have for me tonight?".

Good thing I wasn't stepping there. I can't see the snake! They must have better camaflage than I thought. Interesting turtle history, great picture. Mama

What a beastie! :-D It reminds me of a snapping turtle we found on the highway and released in a pond - never did find out how it got where it was. Unfortunately, we didn't have a camera at the time. Amazing creatures.

Thanks for visiting our blog, and your kinds words. :-)

I don't think I have ever seen a turtle so fat he is outgrowing his shell! Or at least this one looks that way! I am oldmanlincoln and oldladylincoln's one daughter Melinda......
