My old turtle buddy

It is hard to interact with my buddy and try to 'shoot' him at the same time.Often at night I walk out of the shed to find my friend in the little stream, looking up at me.I have seen him bite a chicken leg in two, like it was a twig!Sometimes he comes when I call him.I feed him scraps like I would a dog.Raw stuff is his favorite. One afternoon a few days ago,I had two neighbors come to see him.For the first time ever, and being a little bit drunk,I fed him a hot dog by hand! There are three different kind of
water turtles in there, and one type on land. And,oh yeah,I have known him for about fifteen years now.

my fox-grapes

These grapes are mostly ripe, and the critters are having a delicious feast!
I could make wine again with these, but I feel like they are really for all my animal friends. The other night I talked to an opossum for about twenty minutes,as he ate the grapes. It reminded me of when my Grandfather was cleaning a wild duck for dinner. He sang to me,"opossum up a 'simmon'(persimmon)tree, racoon on the ground, racoon said you son-of-a-gun,you shake some simmons down!"
From "Bile them cabbage down",an old folk song.

Fresh Pompano

My buddy Ricky, cooking up some fresh caught Gulf Pompano.
In my little stream,my turtle buddies didn't finish all five of their carcasses. This tail was left-over. The crawdads and mosquito fish appreciate every little scrap .

shed-scapes

Looking out back of the shed, there is some of my junk that I can't throw away.Beside the shed,a little visitor caught my attention when he was rustling the dry bamboo leaves, looking for some bug lunch. He must have been camera shy because instead of posing,he tried to hide under my canoe. Thanks for stopping by mysight.I'll try to share some more shed-scapes soon.

part of the view from beside my 'shed'

This is a place that is very special to me. I built the 'shed' out of recycled materials,(other peoples scraps and trash)about twenty years ago.
It has evolved into something that many people have enjoyed over the years.standing room only folk music concerts;fine fresh food from the ocean, forrest, and garden, cooked on the grill;a nice crackling fire in a converted old water heater,on cold nights;a place to create, congregate and converse. What a blessing it has been.

My granddaughter Kaili

Kaili, smiling up at her mom,and enjoying the beauty of my neighbor(Cindy's)giant hibiscus.

Little mama Toni,and Patrick Joseph

I played around and got what I think is my best black and white image ever.Though it could be that I am just partial to the subjects!
